A recent study shows that e-cigarettes are safer than smoking! There’s been a long running debate about the safety of e-cigarettes. Many people think that they are still bad for your health and at best they are the lesser of two evils.
However, as outlined in this infographic from purplebox, a recent study by Cancer Research UK supports the health benefits of e-cigarettes. Many studies up to now were question as many people believed the studies weren’t in depth enough. This study analysed the health of smokers and e-cigarette users and tracked the changes in their health over a 6-month period.
The results were interesting and most fascinating were the far lower levels of NNAL, a chemical associated with higher rates of lung cancer, in e-cigarette users. The study did note that combination smokers need to be careful as those who smoke both still have extremely high levels of toxins and carcinogens in their system.
